Added by Fahim Kremeier@ GhanaUnder the AU-IBAR and IUCN collaboration, the Community Resource Management Committees (CRMCs) and Community Executive Committee (CEC) were put in place, where the CRMCs and CECs capacity on leadership and gender mainstreaming was enhanced, leading to the finalization of a management plan for the Dusornu CREMA. The final activity under the joint collaboration for the project is capacity building on gender specific livelihoods for the CREMA. In order to identify the most impactful livelihood options for communities, it is essential to carry out an initial socioeconomic assessment of livelihoods. This assessment will allow Dusornu communities to collectively deliberate and agree on the most appropriate livelihood options for their community.
