Kenya Meat Expo 2024: Revolutionizing the Meat Industry for Bottom-Up Economic Transformation

The Kenya Meat Expo – 3rd Edition is set to take place from June 12 to 14, 2024, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi. Under the theme "Revolutionizing the Meat Industry for Bottom-Up Economic Transformation," this event promises to be a pivotal moment for stakeholders in the meat sector.

Dr. Huyam Salih, Director of AU-IBAR, will give some remarks, setting the tone for an insightful and productive gathering. Alongside esteemed industry leaders, the keynote address will be delivered by Mr. Jonathan M. Mueke, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Livestock Development.

Among the engaging sessions facilitated by AU-IBAR is a panel discussion titled "How can Kenya revolutionize her meat industry for BETA?" featuring Dr. Sarah Ashanut Ossiya (PhD), Project Lead of Resilient African Feed and Fodder Systems (RAFFS) at AU-IBAR, among others. This discussion aims to explore innovative strategies to propel Kenya's meat industry towards sustainable growth and economic prosperity.

Additionally, AU-IBAR will lead a panel discussion on "Building an economic sector for Feed and Fodder – Do they work and how?" The panelists, including Mr. David Maina, Feed and Fodder Business Development Expert at AU-IBAR, will delve into the efficacy of feed and fodder initiatives in bolstering the livestock sector and driving economic development.
