1. Which other branches of Cranfield Incorporated are there other than the crop farming, animal husbandry, horticulture and butchery?

Cranfield also does hydroponics and maggot production and poultry . Fast food outlet which serves grilled meat cuts( pork chops, ribs, lamb and chicken) served with fries, salads and wraps.

2. Give a full description of the farm cropping activity on the farm, and also including information on the points below:

The farm is situated in Chiredzi Masvingo Province and is a 25h farmland where cropping activities of feed is also done. Chiredzi being a southern lowveld it is characterised with high temperature and low rainfall patterns , given this background small grains do very well why Cranfield farm specialises in cropping of sorghum, p-millet, sunflower and maize which is formulated into feed cutting down on production cost of piggery and goat projects.

These crops are done under 10hectors of land and 1 hector is under horticulture of vegetables which includes carrots, onions, cabbage and covo. In a bid to cut down production cost the agri company also do hydroponics farming which is fodder farming by utilising the cropping of small grains which do very well on fodder production which are always readily available at the farm.

-Do you have anything to share about your crop farming process that you feel will give a competitive urge and attract a potential client when they read about it: the cropping, maggot and fodder farming activities are used as feed making sure that our produce are purely organic ensuring quality meat.

3. Give a full description of the animal husbandry activity on the farm, and also includinginformation on the following points. 

Cranfield specialises in breeding and fattening of sheep, goats and pigs as well as poultry . This is essential in making sure genetics which are conjusive for fattening and with high meat yield are created at the farm. The farm created an ecosystem where all operations are intertwined from the fields comes food which is formulated into feed and fodder, animal waste is used for manure for the fields and maggot production which feeds the poultry project.

Piggery project, goat and sheepbreeding and fattening, poultry and future plans of getting into cattle fattening and breeding.

-do you have anything to share about your animal husbandry process that gives competititve advantage and attracts potential clients:

4. Give a full description of the horticulture activity you might already have started and that which you are planning on the farm, and also including information on the following points- which plants will you focus on presently and in future:

The horticulture is mainly focused on vegetable farming which include carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and covo.

-Do you have anything to share about your horticulture process that gives competitive advantage and attracts potential clients:

the horticulture will minimize use of fertilizers’ and makes use of organic manure from the animal husbandry projects creating a complete ecosystem at the farm and purely organic produce.

The butcheries sell purely organic and fresh produce straight from the farm and have highly trained staff which thrive on providing exceptional service to our clientele

The butchery offers the market goat, sheep, chicken, pork and vegetables

the butchery offers quality and fresh meat . Clientele has an opportunity to taste the meat as the butchery has a side grill and barbecue stand where fast food are sold.
