The rate at which the donkey population is shrinking is a cause of worry amid fears of its extinction as players in the pharmaceutical and beauty industry invest in products that rely on ingredients found in the donkey. In the second part of our two part series on the plight of the donkey, our reporter Judith Akolo examines how harvesting of donkey skins to make beauty products and aphrodisiacs threatens to wipe out the donkey whose reproduction rate is lower than that of other livestock.
